Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta is confident Dani Alves will sign a new contract.

The Brazil fullback has been linked with Manchester City as new contract talks stall.

But Zubi insists: "There is an economic issue. What we want is that Dani is recognized in the squad by his value, but such negotiations run little by little.

"I was worried that Dani would be upset and not play well, but this is not the case."
