Zola will not resign from West Ham

Gianfranco Zola wants to remain as West Ham United manager.

The Sunday Mirror says Zola will stun West Ham by declaring his intention to carry on at Upton Park in talks with co-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold next weekend.

The Italian boss has no intention of going quietly despite being severely undermined in recent weeks. His stance will almost certainly force Sullivan and Gold's hand as they attempt to limit the financial damage as they appoint a new manager.

Zola has criticised key decisions taken by Sullivan and Gold but is adamant his departure will come at a heavy price for the pair.
