West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola has set themselves the target of an eighth-place finish for this season.
"We are trying to improve on where we finished last year," he told Sky Sports News.
"We finished eighth last season and so we are trying to finish eighth and then improve.
"It won't be easy, you have teams like Aston villa, Everton, Fulham, Manchester City and Tottenham all challenging at the top.
"So it is not going to be an easy task but we are up for it."
