Reading owner Anton Zingarevich says Alex Pearce is set to sign a new contract.

The defender's current deal expires in June.

Zingarevich told Reading Post: "We are trying to get it done and he is playing all the time. Mostly it is up to him, but he has promised me he will sign, so we will see."
