AC Milan have unsettled Luka Modric at Real Madrid.

Milan want to add Modric to their newly assembled squad and have been in contact about a move from Madrid before the end of the month.

Don Balon says the Croatian veteran is tempted, as he considers leaving Real for a fresh challenge.

After winning three Champions League titles, Modric is attracted to the idea of helping Milan return to the elite. He also believes he won't leave Real shorthanded with Isco and Marco Asensio now emerging.

However, for his part, coach Zinedine Zidane is eager not to lose Modric, though there is a feeling inside the club that the midfielder favours moving to Milan before the transfer deadline falls.
