Zinedine Zidane hailed Cristiano Ronaldo after his brace for Real Madrid in their Champions League win at Marseille. Zidane was in the stands to see the game and admits he was impressed by Ronaldo's contribution.

"Cristiano is very good, he is phenomenal. He does great things, sometimes even better than me. I see him doing very well at Madrid, of course he can win the FIFA award.

"Real have very good players, each week they're better as a team and we're just four months in," said Zidane.

"Karim Benzema is very happy at Real, he is happy, I do not know why they are talking so much about him ... Well, yes, because now he is a Real player. I would have liked it to have gone well for Marseille but Madrid was superior."
