Zidane happy as Real Madrid easy winners against hapless Granada

Real Madrid were comfortable victors against relegated Granada on Saturday.

Real won 4-0 in the late kick-off with a clinical first-half display at Los Carmenes to move back level with title rivals Barcelona.

Despite head coach Zinedine Zidane opted to make nine changes, Los Blancos delivered the required performance as James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata both scored twice in what was a devastating opening 35 minutes.

Zidane stated afterwards: “We keep racking up the points and we're happy. We started the game well and that is what pleases us coaches. It shows that all of the players are focussed and intent on doing well. Every time they have the chance to play they take it and score. I am really pleased with this, there are some layers who have had fewer minutes and that can be difficult.

“An early goal makes things easier. Granada did not roll over. i knew that Granada would come out that way, causing us problems unless we scored quickly. It is normal that Granada had more to overcome."
