Real Madrid chief Zinedine Zidane has confirmed their interest in Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery. Having already acquired the services of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, and with David Villa seemingly on his way, it was expected that Real would consider their attacking options fully stocked.
However, it appears that they could yet be prepared to splash out on another creative player.
Bayern have maintained that Ribery will only be sold if a 'crazy bid' were to be lodged, but their resolve could be tested should Real make a move.
Zidane has certainly not ruled out the possibility of the Spanish giants completing another high-profile swoop over the coming weeks, and believes Florentino Perez would be wise to bankroll such a deal.
"We really hope that he will sign," Zidane told radio station RMC.
"It would be superb news for the club.
"If he was to come over to Madrid I would be delighted to welcome him."
