Yuri Zhirkov is in London today.

The Daily Mail says Zhirkov last night flew into London to finalise his £18million move from CSKA Moscow to Chelsea.

The Russia winger is due a medical today ahead of signing an £80,000-a-week deal until 2012 with the option of a fourth season.

After signing, Zhirkov and wife Inna expect to return to Moscow.

Speaking at the city's Domodedovo airport before flying to London, he said: "I always dreamed of playing in a top club. It would have been inexcusable to let this opportunity pass."
