A return to Zenit St Petersburg is on for released Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.

The Daily Star Sunday says the Russia international left The Emirates last week after his Gunners' deal came to an end.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger did not offer him new terms, leaving Arshavin free to find another club.

Besiktas are also in the running but Zenit are in the box seat.
