Zenit St Petersburg are now in talks with Arsenal for midfielder Andrey Arshavin.

Zenit have reportedly opened talks with Arsenal over re-signing Arshavin.

The 31-year-old Russian forward plans to quit the Gunners after the European Championship.

And Arshavin could make his loan move to Zenit permanent after helping them clinch the Russian league title. Zenit value Arshavin at around £5 million, but Arsenal want to recoup £8m of the £15 million they paid for him in January 2008.
