Zenit coach Spalletti warns Inter Milan of CSKA Moscow strengths

Zenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti has warned Inter Milan to be wary of Champions League opponents CSKA Moscow.

The Nerazzurri seemed delighted to have picked CSKA out of the urn for the quarter-finals, missing the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

"CSKA are in good shape and started their pre-season training earlier than the other Russian sides because they had the Super Cup with Rubin Kazan and the Champions League," revealed Spalletti in the Corriere dello Sport.

"This is a side at a very high level and among the candidates to win the League title. They have a solid, experienced defence and some interesting talent."

The first Russians to reach the Champions League quarter-finals since Spartak Moscow in 1995-96, CSKA knocked Sevilla out in the last round.

"Milos Krasic attacks down the right side, is creative and full of ideas. He's a really great player and one to watch," added former Roma boss Spalletti. "A very interesting youngster is Alan Dzagoev, who here is considered to be the new Andriy Arshavin.

"Also watch out for the Japanese attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda, who scored against Sevilla. Tomas Necid is the centre-forward, but he also works very hard for the team.

"I am also a fan of their tactician, Leonid Slutsky."
