Zenit St Petersburg coach Dick Advocaat is being linked with Chelsea.

The Independent says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich doesn't have a replacement lined up to succeed Avram Grant, with the names of Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink continuing to circulate, but without any great conviction.

A wild card could be Advocaat, who, given Abramovich's liking for employing a coach who has won a European trophy, could be considered after landing the Uefa Cup against Rangers last week while the currency of Blackburn Rovers' manager, Mark Hughes, remains high.
