Zenit St Petersburg want to buy back Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.
Soviet Sports says Arshavin is unsettled at Arsenal and Zenit coach Luciano Spaletti has become aware of the situation. He has asked the club's financial chiefs to put together a bid for the 29-year-old.
The current Russian Premier League champions want to sign the playmaker at the end of the season and are also open to a year-long loan deal with the option to buy at the end included.
Turkish club Galatasaray are also believed to be interested in the Russia international, manager Arsene Wenger will decide on the player's future in the summer.
