Chelsea coach Bolo Zenden insists they went to Japan to win the Club World Cup.

The European champs fell short, losing the final against Corinthians.

"We went to Japan to win it," Zenden told De Telegraaf. "This was for the club, the players and also a chance for me to win a unique trophy.

"We played quite well and I think that we have created the best chances. Unfortunately Cassio was excellent for them."
