Zdenek Zeman has put his hand up to replace Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.
Inter president Massimo Moratti admitted Zeman was under consideration earlier this week.
Zeman said: "Sure, I was pleasantly surprised because the President of a club that has won everything in Europe last season and in Italy for the last five years showed me respect.
"Why shouldn't I take Mourinho's place? Among many names, mine has come out too. At 63, I wouldn't consider myself a gamble. And anyway I feel good.
"Moratti's complements and the opinions of his people have given me enthusiasm and hope of returning to certain level. Since then I have received some offers, but they didn't attract me."
