Former Roma coach Zdenek Zeman hopes Luciano Spalletti can turn things around.
Spalletti has been named new Roma coach after Rudi Garcia's sacking.
“Roma's situation is normal. They went well the first year under Garcia, the second a bit shaky and the third badly," Zeman told Sky Sport Italia.
“Now we hope it can go better and I hope Spalletti is the solution. When he left the first time, he was no longer placed in a condition to work, which is also what happened to me."
On captain Francesco Totti, Zeman added: “The years are adding up for Totti, so we have to see if he is still able to help the team. He remains a player with a different quality to the others."
