Serie A coaching legend Zdenek Zeman says Inter Milan should be stripped of their 2006 Scudetto.
Zeman, now at Pescara, has famously led the crusade against clubs influencing referees, so was asked if the Nerazzurri should lose the 2006 title in the light of recent wiretap revelations.
"I think it should be stripped," said Zeman. "The facts say it's only right to revoke that Scudetto.
"I don't know the latest wiretaps, but I think this step should be taken, because in my view several clubs have the right to claim that title. There were several shocking incidents that season."
Inter have reacted angrily to the claims former President Giacinto Facchetti, who died in 2006, tried to influence referees.
"Facchetti was a great figure in Italian football, but the wiretaps I read suggest something was probably happening.
"I am not the one who should judge, but it would be right for football and those involved to clarify the situation once and for all," concluded Zeman.
