Former Roma and Lazio coach Zdenek Zeman has criticised Jose Mourinho's work with Inter Milan this season.

"Mourinho is someone who says what he thinks. He may think the wrong things, but at least he says them," commented Zeman.

"He sees things differently from others and the media give him a lot of column inches. Even if he says something banal, the Press make it out to be hugely important."

Zeman is known as an aesthete of football who always preferred spectacular play to results, but he has not been won over by Mourinho's brand.

"In every match I have seen, Inter have struggled, both against the big clubs and the smaller ones," he continued on Sky Italia.

"I thought Inter could make the difference on the field, as with all the players at his disposal, I expected much more from Mourinho's football.

"For now he is getting the results, but those do not always reflect the quality of the football."
