Cagliari have named Zdenek Zeman as new coach.
Zeman revealed he was set to take charge of relegated Bologna before new Cagliari owner Tommaso Giuluni called.
"I did have an agreement with Bologna, but then I was scared off because of the situation behind the scenes," he told a Press conference.
"I'm glad to be here, where there is enthusiasm for this team. There is a new owner who wants to do well - so I think this was the right choice.
"Cagliari has been in Serie A for so many years, but now they have changed ownership, and I think the objectives will change,
"Cellino and Giulini are two completely different characters. I've known Cellino for many years, and I know how volcanic he can be,
"Giulini though, is the quiet type who likes to stay behind the scenes."
