Zardes relishing Donovan, Keane action after signing LA Galaxy homegrown deal

MLS champions LA Galaxy have signed Gyasi Zardes on a Homegrown Player deal.

The 21-year old striker has been starring for Cal State Bakersfield University over the past two years with 33 goals in 37 appearances and has now earned himself a professional contract with the Galaxy.

"The chance to play in front of family and friends and alongside the likes of Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan truly is a dream come true," said Zardes.

Zardes would have been a first-round selection in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft if the Galaxy did not have the rights to the Leuzinger High product after he played for the U18, U20s and academy at LA.
