Zaragoza's Oliveira: I was begging for food at 15

Real Zaragoza ace Ricardo Oliveira has revealed he was on the streets at 15 years of age back in Brazil.

Currently on-loan from AC Milan, Oliveira opened up to reporters revealing: "I lost my father at 8 and at 15 I had to take to the streets to demand money. I come from a poor family.

"I had to beg for food from people because I was hungry. Also, I'd find things on the street and then sell them. Others sought other ways: violence, theft, drugs. Me, no. I could not do that.

"Although I couldn't find work, I was going to the traffic lights to ask for food and money. But I never stole. It was a very humble childhood, but I've fulfilled my dream to be a footballer. "I do not have any childhood friends. Some have died and others are in jail."
