Real Zaragoza will not make a decision on Jermaine Pennant until the end of the season. Pennant is currently on a season-long loan with Stoke City and he has impressed so far this term.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool star has already expressed his desire to make the move permanent, as has boss Tony Pulis.
The Potters have until 31st May to make the deal permanent and a fee of 3million has been agreed.
"Stoke City have the priority of the loan this summer, but the English club has formally said nothing to us, but they still have time," a Zaragoza source told skysports.com.
Reports in Spain claim a number of Italian clubs are monitoring Pennant's situation at Stoke.
