Zaragoza president Bandres admits no Victor replacement lined up

Real Zaragoza president Eduardo Bandres admits they have no replacement lined up after coach Victor Fernandez left the club last night.

"We are at a difficult time as evidenced by the results. We were eliminated from the UEFA Cup, Copa del Rey and the situation in the Liga is that we have not achieved a victory in the last nine games," said Bandres.

"We have not taken this decision earlier because we chose to be patient. We must not be rushed in situations like this. We believe that today was the right time to make this decision.

"At the moment, there is no replacement for Victor.

"We have initiated efforts that we hope will come to fruition in the next few hours on a permanent or temporary basis for someone who can replace Victor."
