Real Zaragoza coach Victor Fernandez baulked at entering the Ronaldinho debate ahead of tonight's clash with Barcelona.

Victor would only say: "I do not know what is happening at Barcelona with him nor why he receives so much criticism. I have not seen him train.

"If (coach) Frank Rijkaard selects him, it's because he's in shape to help them win. And if teammates support him in the big way they have, it is because he represents a lot for that dressing room.

"(Lionel) Messi? Two teams with quality defences like Lyon and Sevilla could not stop him. He is special and no defensive system in the world can restrain the talent of Messi at the present time."
