Cristian Zapata says AC Milan's players are determined to make a statement at Champions League opponents Atletico Madrid.
Milan must overcome a 1-0 deficit.
"That is definitely what we are working hard to achieve," he told uefa.com. "To make Milan big again on an international level. It will be hard work, but with the lads we have we will get there.
"I think it's a big responsibility. They are players who made history in football and at Milan. I have been trying to make my own history and to give everything I have for this shirt.
No. I never really thought I would get to play at that level. But thank God I had the opportunity, and I am very happy with everything I have been doing up to now.
"I think in the Champions League we have been very compact and solid. We have always been very careful and given our full concentration.
"I think this is fundamental, especially when you play over two legs and teams make you pay for any mistakes."
