Javier Zanetti believes Inter Milan boast their best ever squad this season after last night's stunning derby performance. The Inter captain said after their 4-0 defeat of AC Milan: "This was an extraordinary game that highlighted the great strength of this squad.

"This season we have so many alternatives, this is the most complete Inter squad ever."

Thiago Motta opened the scoring, then Diego Milito's penalty, Maicon and a Dejan Stankovic screamer completed the rout after Gennaro Gattuso's dismissal.

"We put in a wonderful performance and earned three very important points," said Maicon.

"In the first 15 minutes we made a lot of mistakes that we just don't do in other games. Later on we took control of the situation and put in a top level performance.

"I know I am not at 100 per cent and need to work more in order to be fully fit, but I am happy with what I did in this derby."
