Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti says Erick Thohir will have his support.

The Indonesian billionaire is set to take a majority stake in the club.

"It is important for our large Inter family," Zanetti told Il Mattino. "I'm sure Thohir will do everything possible to make Inter great again."

The veteran then commented on his recovery from Achilles surgery, which is expected to keep him out until next year.

"It's all going well. Luckily I am at the last stage of my recovery.

"I am hoping that I can start training with my teammates soon."
