Zamparini: Palermo can survive without Amauri

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed he's already turned down major offers from abroad for striker Amauri.

"There have been concrete offers from abroad of a good £14m, but I said no," Zamparini revealed on Rai Sicilia.

"There will be no deal for less than £19m, but I think that an agreement is close. However, what you hear from the Italian newspapers is just rumour."

Zamparini insists they're capable of going forward without the Brazilian.

"We signed Tulio De Melo and half of Igor Budan's rights and he is a great forward," Zampa insisted.

"Then we have Edison Cavani who is a striker in the mould of Fabrizio Miccoli. I think that we are on track and we will see the value of De Melo."
