Former Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed Napoli were keen to hand over Jorginho two years ago.
Zamparini was discussing the sale of Paulo Dybala to Juventus.
“Napoli also asked me about Dybala, and they wanted to give me Jorginho plus a lot of money - it was around €30m," Zamparini revealed on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“I thought about it, but others were better at closing. Dybala in Naples would have been perfect, it would have been the ideal place for him, not like Turin.
“At Juventus it's hard for a player to become an idol."
