Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is determined to keep Amauri out of the clutches of Juventus.

"Palermo is not a branch of any big team and I tell the fans not to trust what they read in the papers," the President angrily stated.

"Amauri is a Palermo player. Juventus were the only ones to contact us, but I think he could stay if we manage to qualify for the Champions League.

"I hope to convince him to stay. I will make him a contract offer he cannot reject."
