Zamparini dreaming of Europe with Zenga in charge at Palermo

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is delighted to see Walter Zenga's team now in the top four.

The Rosanero have won each of their last three games and now sit fourth in Serie A after the opening nine rounds of the season.

“We are at the beginning of something. I have seen good performances even if in the last few games there were episodes that now went for rather than against us,” Zamparini told Radio Anch’io Sport.

“It’s a good team, but we need to keep our feet on the ground and not fly. Before the game, Zenga had spurred on the players, telling them that no objective was impossible.

“But, let’s be clear, it’s not a team that can be first in the table. We need experience. We need the mentality for the Champions League. But then again everyone pays for playing in both league and cup.

“We are aiming for fourth place and qualification for the Champions League, but there are six or seven teams that can go from fourth to tenth place. One day, I would like to qualify for the Champions League.”
