Bobby Zamora is backing Brighton's move for Stoke City midfielder Steve Sidwell.

The Argus says Sidwell was at the Amex on Saturday as a guest of Zamora and is reportedly available for a transfer.

Zamora said: “I'd love him to (sign) but it's out of my hands as such. He's got a lot more to think about than just playing football with me."

Sidwell has also been linked with a return to Reading.
