Gianluca Zambrotta insists AC Milan can be satisfied with their campaign with third place locked in.
Milan lost to Genoa on Sunday, but have qualified for next season's Champions League.
Zambrotta said: "In the course of the game, Leonardo wanted us to pass the ball more because we were a little in difficulty.
"Aside from the defeat, the important thing was to finish the season in third place and we managed it. For this reason, we are satisfied.
"Sure, we aren't satisfied with our performance today, no one likes to lose, but our objective recently has been qualifying for the Champions League and we managed it with a game to spare."
