Zamalek announce terms of Zaki's Wigan switch

Zamalek have announced Amr Zaki is joining Wigan Athletic.

The Latics have been chasing the 25-year-old for a number of weeks and having signed a new contract until 2012 with employers Zamalek on Saturday, the Egyptian club have now agreed to his move to England.

In a letter to Zamalek dated June 17, Wigan chief executive Brenda Spencer outlined the terms of the deal that will bring Zaki to England.

"Wigan will pay a loan fee of £1,250,000 plus €400,000 (£320,000) with an option to sign the player at the end of the loan period for an agreed transfer fee less the amount already paid by Wigan to Zamalek," wrote Spencer.

"Wigan Athletic also agree to pay the amount of £500,000 to Zamalek if the player scores ten Premier League goals for Wigan during the loan spell."
