Zaluska: I used Dundee United as a stepping stone

Lukasz Zaluska has admitted moving to Dundee United was all part of his masterplan when he moved to Tannadice from Korona Kielce in the summer of 2007.

The Pole, 26, has just signed a pre-contract agreement with Celtic.

"It was my plan to get this move when I came to Scotland," Zaluska said in the Daily Mail.

"I have treated Dundee as a good place to adapt myself to the new football reality and then promote myself to a club like Celtic. I used it as a trampoline.

"There was no other way. Players who don't compete in European Cups and don't play for the national team have practically no chance of going to a big club directly from Poland."
