Zaluska can still be number one says Celtic boss Lennon

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has reassured goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska that he can retain his starting place even if the club buys a new gloveman.

Lennon is still on the lookout for reinforcements in goal but has said that the 29-year old Pole can continue performing well and stay in the number one shirt.

When asked if Zaluska's job was under threat, Lennon said: "That's not necessarily true. When we brought Lukasz in last season he did very well.

"He is playing well and he had no chance with the goal (in the 5-1 win over Dundee United on Saturday).

"But I need to bring a keeper in because if Lukasz gets injured then we only have Dominic Cervi and nobody else.

"So it is important that I bring another keeper regardless of Lukasz's form - and he played very well today.

"We know he is a good goalkeeper."
