Heart of Midlothian captain Marius Zaliukas has revealed Scottish Cup celebrations held on the weekend were even more special than he envisaged.
The Lithuanian centre-back was part of the Hearts side which dismantled Edinburgh rivals Hibernian 5-1 at Hampden on Saturday and he was thrilled to be a part of the great celebrations which came after an uncertain period the club faced relating to finances late last year.
"That's why I think we deserve it. On the bus, it was amazing. Just seeing the fans follow us, it was so special - better than I thought.
"This club is the third biggest in Scotland. Every victory like Saturday means so much to Hearts and we have to look forward now to more success. The trouble we had earlier on in the season made us stronger as a team.""These celebrations were amazing. It's been a very special day for everyone and especially given all the circumstances of our season," he said.
