Amr Zaki is pleased with his first six months as a Premiership player at Wigan Athletic.
On-loan from El Zamalek, the Egypt striker said: "I haven't scored in the Premier League recently, but that doesn't necessarily mean I failed.
"My supporters in Egypt need to be more patient. How come I failed when I trail high-profile stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Robinho only by one goal in the goalscorers' table?
"This is my first season in England and I reckon that I have done well. Some players might stay on the bench for six months or so until they make their Premier League debut.
"But I have taken part in 99% of Wigan's games this term, and I have become their top scorer."
