Wilfried Zaha put behind him a recent poor performance to help Crystal Palace to a narrow win at Watford on Sunday.
The 22-year-old winger was criticised by Zaha for not wanting it enough following last weekend's loss to Tottenham but came off the bench to win the penalty that saw his side edge the Hornets 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
After the match, Eagles boss Alan Pardew spoke of Zaha's contribution after finding a little bit of confidence in the midweek Capital One Cup win over Charlton Athletic.
"I thought he did very well in the week at Charlton," Pardew told Sky Sports.
"That was the first part of his reaction to that disappointment. Then today I knew if he was fresh coming off the bench he would cause a problem or two.
"He's got that kind of determination to prove I'm wrong. I like that and he did. He did really well and now it's about when he starts having that concentration all the time."
Yahoo Cabaye converted from the spot after Allan Nyom had brought down Zaha just inside the area with just under 20 minutes remaining.
