Manchester City fullback Pablo Zabaleta admits the current team are running out of time to win the Champions League.
After the midweek draw with Roma left City staring down the barrel of a third group-stage exit in four seasons, Zabaleta knows the clock is ticking.
"We (the players) know that the owners have been spending big in the last couple of years to make this a team of Champions League winners," said Zabaleta.
"And we also know that it is now our responsibility to play well and win these big European games.
"This is our fourth year in the competition and it has been clear to see that a lot of the time we have not even been close to our best."
