Yu, Pannu happy to mix with Birmingham fans

New Birmingham City chiefs Sammy Yu and Peter Pannu have already taken in a game at St Andrews in recent weeks.

The Birmingham Mail says the pair watched the Bolton Wanderers game incognito from the Olympic Gallery in the Gil Merrick Stand.

They mingled with the faithful, spoke to them about the team and the club, and also gained first-hand experience of the facilities at St Andrew's.

They left not only with a better understanding of Blues supporters psyche, but a valuable insight into how the match-day experience could be improved.

There has been a constant gripe at annual meetings about the standard of catering, the state of the toilets and the lack of a reliable flow of hot water.

All minor things, maybe, in comparison to boosting the on-field fortunes but to Yu and Pannu, it matters; Carson Yeung is determined to make Blues a happy family and St Andrew's a place where lapsed supporters want to be.
