Paul Scholes admits the current England squad excites him much more than those of the previous decade and a half.
The Three Lions line-up of 2016 possesses a number of talented youngsters mixed with high amounts of energy who are willing to work hard for each other.
Manchester United legend Scholes told the Daily Mail that Roy Hodgson has at his disposal a team capable of achieving positive results at Euro2016 this summer.
“I'm really excited - more than I have been over the last three or four tournaments," he said highlighting the Tottenham and Leicester contingent which includes Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Danny Drinkwater.
“There's a great youthfulness and energy about the team. You look at Tottenham and Leicester and that's what they've done. Great energy, great spirit, they work hard for each other and this England team is the same.
“The team spirit is brilliant. In the last four or five tournaments I don't think the team spirit was at its strongest, but these players are willing to learn. They're young players, they listen to coaches and they are listening to teammates."
