Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Scott Basalaj will head to Scotland for a trial with Partick Thistle.
The 19-year old Phoenix Football School of Excellence keeper will gain experience training with the Jags who are back in the Scottish Premier League after winning the First Division title last season.
"To train in a professional environment and be part of a couple of match days has been huge," said Basalaj who has represented New Zealand at the U17 and U19 World Cups.
"It has given me confidence and I won't be shy going into that type of environment over there.
"Playing in two World Cups has also been fantastic and given me the incentive to go further in football."
