Young Socceroo Daniel Mullen has extended his contract at Adelaide United by a further two years. The 19-year old defender has committed to the Reds until the end of the 2010/2011 season in a major boost for the club.

The news comes just after the Reds signed Sydney FC defender Iain Fyfe in a bid to strengthen their defence.

Mullen was recently a member of the Qantas Young Socceroos squad that qualified for the FIFA U20 2009 World Cup after they reached the Semi Finals of the Asian Football Confederation U19 Championships.
