Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has been praised by his manager Martin O'Neill after producing a stellar performance in the 5-2 thrashing of Burnley on Sunday.
The 24-year old was on the scoresheet and proved a handful for the Clarets defence as he led Villa to a big win after they put away four goals in 13 minutes in the second half.
O'Neill rated Young's performance highly and believes he has been a solid contributor this season despite criticism from outsiders.
"Ashley was terrific for us today. He wanted to make things happen. I was delighted with his performance," O'Neill said.
"I have this argument every week with people who say that his form has dipped this season but I think he has done brilliantly.
"It's just been the case that other players have sometimes stolen the limelight, like James Milner.
"I've been delighted with both of them - and a few others besides."
