Young: Morale and confidence in Man Utd camp high

Manchester United winger Ashley Young suggests confidence within the playing group is very high.

Louis van Gaal's side sit fourth on the Premier League table in the wake of arguably their best performance this season when beating Tottenham 3-0 at home last weekend.

It was a great response from United following their FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Arsenal and Young suggests the mood is positive at Carrington.

"Morale has always been high. Confidence has always been there too," Young told Sky Sports.

"We were obviously disappointed after the Arsenal game. I said afterwards that it will show how our team spirit and character is with how we bounce back.

"I think if you look at the first 45 minutes (against Spurs) then that was exactly the right way to bounce back."

United next meet age-old adversaries Liverpool, who sit two points behind them in fifth place on the Premier League table, at Anfield on Sunday.
