Manchester United keeper Ben Amos has Anders Lindegaard and £18m signing David De Gea from Atletico Madrid ahead of him in the pecking order for the number one jersey with the Reds. Sir Alex Ferguson has given him the opportunity to make two appearances on their pre-season tour of North America, but Premier League outings are looking unlikely.
"It is a decision like you would not believe," said Amos.
"It is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make and I am still thinking about it now. I do see an opportunity there.
"If I perform to the right level, anything can happen. The manager could throw me in. At the same time, I am risking not getting the game time I desperately need. I am weighing up the options and we will see what happens."
Amos is scheduled to have a meeting with United goalkeeping coach Eric Steel on his return from America to discuss his future.
