Manchester United stopper Ron-Robert Zieler has joined Northampton Town on loan until January. Town boss Stuart Gray told the club's website: "He is another young player with a fantastic pedigree and we are looking forward to him joining us."
The 19 year old will go into the squad for Saturday's game with Colchester.
"Under the terms of the loan ruling, Frank Fielding will have to go back to Blackburn after the Scunthorpe game," added Gray.
"We would have been left with only one professional keeper in Chris Dunn and a youth scholar in Paul Walker, so we have taken Ron-Robert in to help us out."
