Championship Leeds have confirmed that youngsters Leonardi Poggi and Shaun Greenfield are having trials at the club this week. Poggi is a 19-year-old centre-half who plays for Bologna while Greenfield is a USA Under-20 international who came through Atletico Madrid's youth system.
Poggi, a left-footed defender, is on loan at Bologna from Cesena and contracted to the club until next summer.
Greenfield is relishing his opportunity to train at Thorp Arch.
"My thought on this, besides being very excited about the interest from a club with a tradition like Leeds, is that I'm very ready," he told Yanks Abroad.
"I have worked hard every week waiting for the opportunity and since my passport is still in process, it is not easy to get chances."
